CBS set to make history with Parma-Milan broadcast

CBS Sports are set to make history with the broadcast of Milan’s upcoming away trip to Parma, which is set to become the first Serie A match that the network has shown on live television.

The popular US-broadcasters recently announced an extension to their Serie A media rights deal.

They are set to show all 380 Serie A matches in the 2024-25 season, as well as a minimum of 25 Coppa Italia matches, as well as all the games from the new and expanded Supercoppa Italiana.

Parma-Milan, however, will be the first game that the network has opted to broadcast on live television.

CBS will provide an hour-long pre-match build-up show on Paramount+. Coverage will then be available on broadcast television in the United States from 12.30 ET, in time for kick-off.

Coincidentally, or perhaps not, both Milan and Parma are owned by US-based investors. The Rossoneri are controlled by RedBird Capital, while Parma were bought out by the Krause Group in 2020.

USMNT star Christian Pulisic is also likely to be involved, despite recent injury concerns. Yunus Musah is also in line to feature.
