AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has suggested that the transfer window is not over as we enter the last couple of weeks, while he also reflected on the work done so far.
Earlier today, Milan confirmed the signing of Youssouf Fofana from Monaco, publishing an official statement on their website this afternoon. The Frenchman has thus become the fourth signing of the summer by the Rossoneri, after Alvaro Morata, Strahinja Pavlovic and Emerson Royal.
During the presentation for Fofana at Casa Milan – which was delayed by about two hours – Zlatan Ibrahimovic also answered some questions from the journalists and he hinted that there could yet be further additions, with the interest in Manu Kone confirmed.
Furlani spoke to Sky during the build-up to the game against Torino at San Siro to kick-off the new season, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews as he touched on the work done so far and also the subject of potential sales.
It’s a new beginning and it has been a surgical market for Milan…
“We knew what kind of work we had to do, as you said surgical and targeted. We are almost at the end of the market, even if it is not over yet. We did what we had to do without publicising it all at the beginning. I think the fans are appreciating the work done, now there is the pitch and it is up to the players.”
