In recent days, FC Barcelona have begun to ‘explore’ a deal for AC Milan’s star, Rafael Leao, and the winger is a ‘dream’ signing for the Blaugrana.
By all accounts, Leao had a difficult season last year, but under Paulo Fonseca, he is expected to rise to a new level with the new head coach speaking about creating a different player. Regardless of the previous season, though, the talent of the winger is evident and well-known.
It is, therefore, understandable why the elite clubs are still attracted to him and the latest club to come forward is Barcelona, and this morning’s editions of Sport and Mundo Deportivo (both seen below) have offered some insight into the situation.
Starting with Sport, the paper suggests that the Catalan club have ‘accelerated’ for Federico Chiesa – who would reportedly be a target if Leao left Milan – but the ‘dream is Leao’ for Deco and Joan Laporta. The report continues, though, stating that the Rossoneri have declared the player ‘non-transferable’.
Mundo Deportivo’s report suggests an attempt is being concocted, and the club are ‘exploring’ the signing of Leao, but admits that a deal would be a ‘difficult’ operation to complete.
Outside of these reports, there have been suggestions about Barcelona’s finances, so it seems difficult to imagine a deal coming to fruition.
