Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided the club with his take on their ongoing pursuit of Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
That’s according to Barcelona insider Gerard Romero, who has confirmed the news which many of a Blaugrana persuasion were no doubt eager to hear – that their manager wants the Juventus star signed.
Chiesa’s name has of course emerged as an increasingly prominent one in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes amid mounting reports that the Juventus star – out of the project under Thiago Motta in Turin – has been identified as an ideal low-cost, high-reward signing by the brass at the Camp Nou.
Chiesa’s terms with Juventus are due to expire next summer, with the 26-year-old therefore understood to be available for a cut-price fee.
Barcelona, both desperate for reinforcements on the left wing and short on money, are therefore ready to pounce.
And as much, it has today been revealed, will come with the blessing of headmaster Hansi Flick.
As per the aforementioned Gerard Romero, speaking on his official Twitch account, the German tactician has given his seal of approval to Chiesa’s arrival.
It is in turn now down to Deco and his transfer team to push an agreement with Serie A heavyweights Juve over the line.
