REPORT: 9km/h slower – Data supports Theo’s unacceptable work rate on both Parma objectives……see more

Theo Hernandez has ended up in the spotlight following AC Milan’s 2-1 defeat to Parma and not in a good way. On both goals conceded, the Frenchman lacked the desire to help out his team and new data has now put this in black and white.

Parma opened the scoring after less than two minutes on the clock, as Dennis Man was left completely free on Milan’s left-hand side. The replays showed poor defending from Theo Hernandez who, despite following the winger for a long distance, failed to stop him.

Things weren’t much better on the second goal as the left-back was seen jogging back, leaving the new signing Strahinja Pavlovic in a difficult position. As reported by Sky Italia (via Espertheo), the goalscorer Matteo Cancellieri ran 9km/h faster (30) than Hernandez’s 21km/h.

On the first goal, meanwhile, Man had a speed of 26km/h while Hernandez stopped at 17km/h, once again 9km/h slower. There is no doubt that this made a huge difference and one must question the Frenchman’s work-rate, seeing as he’s one of the fastest players in Serie A.

In fact, such a performance is even cause for being put on the bench and it remains to be seen what decision Paulo Fonseca will make next weekend.
