AC Milan’s interest in signing Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer is very much concrete, we can confirm, and a new bid to the midfielder has been made.
According to what our colleagues at SempreMilan.it have learned, Milan have made another contract offer to Rabiot, who remains without a team after saying goodbye to Juventus at the beginning of the summer.
The reason that he is yet to find a new team is that Frenchman’s entourage want him to earn €7m net per season, which is more or less what he was getting from the Bianconeri before he decided to leave.
However, as the days go by, the financial demands also seem to have lowered. Rabiot does not want to leave Europe but to continue playing in the Champions League to earn a place in the French national team for the future.
Milan are one of the clubs that has moved most concretely, given that Geoffrey Moncada is a great admirer of the former Paris Saint-Germain man, and in these hours they have formulated a new offer.
In the eyes of the management, Rabiot would be what Fonseca’s project needs: a physically strong player who can give balance to the midfield, without losing effectiveness in the possession phase. He also adds a lot of experience, and is versatile in his role.
