USMNT star Christian Pulisic has made an honest “not the start we wanted” admission after seeing AC Milan’s winless run in 2024-25 extended.
United States international Pulisic, who is now into his second season at San Siro, has been among the goals for the Rossoneri early in the current campaign. He posted a career-best return of 15 efforts last season, and opened his account this term in a 2-1 defeat at Parma.
That result has been sandwiched by disappointing 2-2 draws with Torino and Lazio. With just two points on the board, Milan are still searching for their first win in what was supposed to be an exciting new era under head coach Paulo Fonseca.
Questions are already being asked of his ongoing presence in the dugout, with Pulisic and Co yet to find any kind of spark. The American playmaker admits that performances need to improve, but is confident that will happen. He has posted on social media: “Not the start we wanted. Time to stick together and we will turn this around.”
Milan sit 14th in the Serie A table, but no side boasts a perfect record through three rounds of fixtures and time is still on their side when it comes to climbing the standings. The first international break has now been reached, with the Rossoneri not due to be back in action again until facing Venezia on September 15.
