Real Madrid legend has mentioned the names of Serie A stars that can play for Los Blancos, omitting Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman from his list.
Lookman has been a prominent figure in Serie A, as he is seen as an important player for the Atalanta side.
The player helped Atalanta win their first European trophy last season and also broke a massive record by scoring a hat trick in the final.
However, despite his performance, he has not been recognised by Fabio Cannavaro, who made a list of players who can play for Real Madrid.
Fabio Cannavaro believes Lautaro Martinez is the only Serie A player who could play for Manchester City or Real Madrid.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cannavaro, the most recent Ballon d’Or winner in Italy (2006), lauded Lautaro Martinez, a standout player for Inter.
The Madrid legend said, “You can’t question Lautaro. He won the title and Copa America, and he always makes a difference,” said the ex-defender.
“I hope Serie A and Inter will never lose him. When I think about Serie A footballers who could play for Man City or Real Madrid, I think of Lautaro and perhaps nobody else.”
Ademola Lookman, the hero of Atalanta’s Europa League, is also a contender for the Ballon d’Or, and Cannavaro was not taken aback to see his name listed among the league’s top players.
He continued, “Not after those three goals in the Final. His season was incredible.”
However, despite praising the forward’s performance, he still did not add him to his list of players who can play for Real Madrid.
