SAD NEWS: Alvaro Morata aiming to shorten his stay due to…..see more

In the national team, he wouldn’t have played against Serbia anyway due to the chants about “Spanish Gibraltar” that he made during Madrid’s celebration of their European victory.

But Álvaro Morata just can’t stay still. Having been unavailable for several weeks due to a low-grade lesion in his left femoral muscle, despite the four days of rest given to the team by Paulo Fonseca, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan striker still showed up at Milanello, “huffing” back and forth under the relentless rain with the goal of getting back to his teammates and coach as soon as possible.

Given the nature of his injury, Morata could return to the bench as early as the match against Venezia after the break. Like all the Milan fans, however, who encouraged him in a post published by the club yesterday, the Spaniard has marked a very specific date in red: September 22, the night of the derby against Inter.

Alvaro Morata is running on the Milanello fields, aiming to shorten his recovery time, especially since after only 2 points from three games, it’s clear Milan needs their leader. Against Lazio, Abraham still showed part of his skill set, which reassures the Milan fans while they wait for the Spaniard’s return.

Morata is crucial on and off the field

But, as the Italian newspaper published in today’s print edition, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid centre-forward is essential not just for his play but for the role he holds within the locker room. After all, we are talking about the European Championship-winning captain, as well as a striker who has worn prestigious jerseys throughout his career, such as those of Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid, never really feeling the pressure.
