Milan have won only one of their opening four matches in Italy’s Serie A.
Liverpool have won three of their four opening English Premier League fixtures, but suffered a shock 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Defending champions Real Madrid began their campaign at home with a match against Stuttgart, in which they won 3-1.
