Speaking on Sky Sport 24 today, journalist Peppe Di Stefano shared the latest updates on Milan from outside Milanello, ahead of the important Champions League away game against Bayer Leverkusen:
“There are good chances (for the two-striker formation to be used again), but I believe Fonseca will decide tomorrow. This morning there was training. There were some tests, yes, but nothing definitive yet, especially since the team played on Friday. In fact, yesterday was a recovery day, today another light session, and tomorrow the formation will be tested before the team departs at 16:30 from Malpensa Prime heading to Cologne, then by bus to Leverkusen.”
“Two good pieces of news for Milan: Calabria and Okafor did a personalised warm-up on the field and then joined the team. So, they will be available and called up. As for the lineup, if it happens to be a 4-2-4, there are only two doubts, both in defence. Who between Calabria and Emerson Royal on the right, and who between Pavlovic and Tomori, because Boniface is a very strong, imposing player physically, and Pavlovic’s physicality could be useful for Milan. There’s also a real possibility that Paulo Fonseca could confirm the same starting 11 for the third consecutive match, as the team needs to continue finding the right balance and defensive solutions.”
