Gvs: Don’t mess with Christian Pulisic as AC Milan star….see more

Ahead of the latest international break, Milan took in a Serie A clash with Fiorentina. They slipped to a 2-1 defeat in that contest, with United States international Pulisic on target once again. He was denied the opportunity to finish said contest with more than one goal to his name.

The Rossoneri were awarded two penalties on the day, and Pulisic is their designated taker. Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham were, however to step up to the spot – with both fluffing their lines. Milan boss Paulo Fonseca was left incensed in the dugout, telling reporters afterwards: “Our penalty taker is Pulisic, I don’t know why the players changed their minds. I spoke to him and said that it must not happen again.”

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, England internationals Abraham and Fikayo Tomori could pay the price for their insubordination by dropping out of Fonseca’s plans. While the former missed from the spot against Fiorentina, the ball was handed to him by fellow former Chelsea star Tomori.

It has been made clear to them that they are not to mess with Pulisic and the penalty-taking order of things, with the American forward being freed from the latest USMNT squad so that he can return to Europe well ahead of domestic action resuming.

Pulisic, with six goals to his name this season, will likely have a prominent role to play against Udinese on Saturday. It does, however, remain to be seen whether Abraham and Tomori have done enough during training sessions in the international break to convince their coach that they should not be axed.
