Milan coach Paulo Fonseca could start Ruben Loftus-Cheek as an attacking midfielder against Crvena Zvezda to replace the injured Christian Pulisic or play Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham simultaneously.
The Rossoneri must deal with Pulisic’s calf injury, and after the American star’s medical tests on Monday, they will have a rough idea of his recovery time.
Milan trained on Sunday at Milanello, preparing for a Champions League match against Crvena Zvezda.
As reported by Sky Sport Italia and Milannews, Fonseca has two options to replace the ex-Chelsea star.
Pulisic has played mainly as an attacking midfielder for Milan this season, so Fonseca will pick Loftus-Cheek or Morata in the same position in the upcoming European fixture.
If the Spanish striker gets the nod, Abraham will start as a centre-forward, similar to Milan’s derby win over Inter this past September.
Pulisic has arguably been Milan’s most consistent player this season, grabbing eight goals and six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
