Luca Marchetti, journalist and market expert, expressed himself this way on Sky Sport Club regarding Milan and head coach Paulo Fonseca:
“The club’s trust in Fonseca has always been there. If we are to consider hypothetical future scenarios, Milan would have to collapse. But as of today, the team has not collapsed. The club changed the bench, entrusting it to Fonseca, who inherited a series of issues that were already present under Pioli. The coach must be given time to intervene following his methodology. The club has always supported him, and he has always stated this.”
“Of course, coaches are ultimately judged by results. But I am convinced that, as of today, there has never been a desire within the club to replace Fonseca. If Fonseca were no longer Milan’s coach, it would be because the Rossoneri suffered a series of defeats that made a change necessary. However, I don’t believe there have been any contacts with other coaches.”
