AC Milan are looking at signing a midfielder during the January transfer window, and some new names have emerged as potential targets.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recalls this morning that several midfielders have already been linked such as Reda Belahyane of Verona, Warren Bondo of Monza, Morten Frendrup of Genoa and Johnny Cardoso of Betis.
Now, we can add Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller to the list of targets, a 23-year-old German who was at Bayern Munich until three years ago. He had two decent seasons at Hoffenheim, then at the end of August 2023 he moved to Stuttgart where he became a regular starter.
Stiller was one of the stars last season of the team that finished second in the Bundesliga, behind the rampant Bayer Leverkusen. His contract expires in 2027 and he is valued at no less than €25-30m given his age and importance.
It won’t be easy to snatch Stiller from Stuttgart in January, while it could be ‘easier’ in the summer. For this reason, the likes of Belahyane, Bondo, Frendrup and Cardoso all remain on the list for next months.
Samuele Ricci is another profile that Milan are looking into but more for June given that Torino – like Stuttgart – do not want to sell any key players halfway through the season.
