Mm: $30M Lakers super fan Halsey highlights Christmas Day hero…see more

Singer-songwriter and LA Lakers fan Halsey could not help but highlight the stellar play of guard Austin Reaves in their gutsy 115-113 Christmas Day victory over the Golden State Warriors. Reaves was in good form in San Francisco, where he scored the game-winning basket with a second to go.

The “Nightmare” artist, who has an estimated net worth of $30 million per Celebrity Net Worth, was one of those who celebrated the Lakers’ win, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to give props and Christmas cheers to Reaves, writing:

The game-winner capped what was a solid effort from Austin Reaves, who stepped up after All-Star Anthony Davis was limited to just seven minutes of play after hurting his ankle. The fourth-year player out of Oklahoma posted a triple-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory.

His last two points came with a second to go. After Warriors superstar Steph Curry tied the count at 113-all with 6.3 seconds left on the clock, Reaves fielded an in-bound pass from Max Christie. He then sized up the defense of Andrew Wiggins before making his move and scoring the marginal basket with a lay-up off the glass.

Curry tried a desperation heave after but it failed to hit the mark, preserving the Lakers’ win.

LeBron James top-scored for the Lakers with 31 points, to go along with 10 assists. Rui Hachimura had 18 points of his own while Christie added 16. For the Warriors, it was Curry who led with a game-high 38 points, with eight three-pointers.

The win improved the Lakers to 17-13 for the season, currently sixth in the Western Conference. They next play at home on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.

Austin Reaves was so proud and happy with his game-winner that towed the LA Lakers over the Golden State Warriors 115-113 on Christmas Day that he nearly teared up after the game.

ClutchPoints reported on it on X, quoting Reaves during the postgame press conference:

Undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, Reaves was plucked by the Lakers from free agency and has been rewarding the team ever since. This campaign, he is averaging career-highs of 17 points, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals to go along with 3.8 rebounds. He has played in 24 games so far and started in all of them.
