Exclusive: Midfielder to undergo medical today…see more

AC Milan are looking to strengthen the Futuro side in this window, and it seems they are on the verge of adding some midfield reinforcement.

With Kevin Zeroli fluctuating between the first team and the Milan Futuro squad, there is a need for some reinforcement in the area. Additionally, considering the majority of the squad has not played much senior football yet, another experienced head would not be a bad thing for the team.

As Luca Maninetti, our colleague at SempreMilan.it, reports, Simone Branca has been left out of the Citadella squad for their game against Spezia because of an impending move to the Rossoneri. Tomorrow, he will arrive in Milano, before conducting his first visits and completing his signing.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been a regular in Serie B this season, playing 21 times for Citadella and assisting once. In fact, the midfielder has played 72% of all minutes in Serie B this season for his current club, according to Transfermarkt, so he offers some extra reliability in midfield for the side.

 

Considering the Futuro are also looking to add a German starlet to the squad in the final days of the window, the second half of the season should be brighter for Daniele Bonera, who has recently been frustrated by the lack of options available to him.
