Milano offre 25 milioni di euro a Lecce per cercare una star prima dell’estate.

AC Milan have tried to lock up the signing of Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Milan have already invested in the signing of Santiago Gimenez who should soon be announced as a new addition, but it seems that the management are keen on a full overhaul of the centre-forward role.

During an update in which he reports that Joao Felix is getting closer to joining from Chelsea, Gianluca Di Marzio adds that Milan ‘have also tried to secure Nikola Krstovic’ for June.

They put forward an offer worth €20m as a fixed amount plus €5m in bonuses. However, Lecce do not want to commit to his sale at present, after having just sold Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United.

Krstović is 24 years of age and plays for the Montenegro national team. He has scored seven goals for Lecce so far this season in Serie A, adding three assists too.

With Alvaro Morata having gone to Galatasaray on a loan with option to buy deal, and with Tammy Abraham only on a dry loan, it feels like there is a conscious effort being made to revamp the attack in view of next season.
