New Milan signing Riccardo Sottil was impressed by Kyle Walker in training: ‘You realise that you must do the same.’

The 25-year-old winger joined Milan on loan with an option to buy from Fiorentina on the deadline day.

During his unveiling press conference on Thursday, he spoke about training with ex-Manchester City defender Walker, who also joined Milan in the winter transfer window.

“He is a champion, and he has won everything. Seeing him arrive at the training ground and head straight to the gym to work out makes you realise that you must do the same,” said Sottil via Milannews.

“You understand the amount of work behind becoming a champion.”

Walker and Sottil were two of Milan’s five new signings in January.

The Serie A giants also signed Santiago Gimenez, Warren Bondo and Joao Felix.

Kyle Walker played 212 Premier League games for Manchester City, scoring three goals and providing 18 assists.

The England international has joined Milan on loan with an option to buy from Manchester City. This past weekend, he made his Rossoneri debut in a 1-1 draw against city rivals Inter.

On the other hand, Sottil debuted with the Diavoli on Wednesday, coming off the bench in a 3-1 win Coppa Italia win against Roma at San Siro.
