‘No como Messi or Ronaldo’ – Luis Garcia emits a crítica dura sobre Felix’s cambio a Milan.

Joao Felix scored on his debut to send San Siro into jubilation, but former Barcelona and Liverpool midfielder Luis Garcia has voiced some harsh words for the AC Milan talent.

In recent years, Felix has struggled to find consistency on the pitch and off it. He has struggled to show his best, and as a result, he has regularly been relocated. As a result, he has gained several discreditors.

Garcia is one of those and speaking to ESPN today, he had some harsh words for the former Barcelona attacker, even comparing him to legends of the game like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and Milan News have relayed his words.

“I believe that João Félix, at the moment, has not yet understood one fundamental thing in modern football: pure talent is no longer enough. Quality, technique and field skills are important qualities, but not enough to succeed at the highest level.

“Perhaps this discourse did not apply to phenomena like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, who were simply in another category; but in today’s football, if you play for teams like Atlético, Barcelona, Chelsea, or now AC Milan, you have to give something more.”

Tim Notke once said, ‘Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work’, and Felix will not be able to coast under Conceicao, and the San Siro crowd will not allow it either.

For now, though, we have not seen signs of coasting, so let’s focus on the strengths rather than worrying about currently non-existent issues.
