MN: Agent labels Sottil-Milan the most…see more

Beppe Riso was able to get a move to AC Milan over the line for his client Riccardo Sottil with just 90 seconds left of the January window. However, he has now revealed that he also offered Tommaso Baldanzi to the Rossoneri.

It ended up being a very hectic deadline day for Milan and the signing of Sottil from Fiorentina is perhaps the best example of that. The final paperwork was processed just 90 seconds before the deadline, allowing the winger to transfer on an initial loan deal.

Speaking to La Repubblica (via MilanNews), the agent Beppe Riso spoke about Sottil’s late move to the Rossoneri, which he labelled the most difficult operation. He also revealed that he offered Tommaso Baldanzi to Milan, but Roma refused to let him go.

“Sottil to Milan was the most difficult operation. Seeing him in the red and black shirt was a great satisfaction. It was difficult and it came to fruition.”

“Baldanzi? Honestly, I tried to get him to leave. Fiorentina and Milan were interested in him, but Roma were opposed to a move. They said he will become one of their starters,” he stated.

Baldanzi has been linked with Milan many times before and a move wouldn’t have been a surprise. The Sottil move, meanwhile, came a bit out of nowhere and it remains to be seen how he will perform, expected to start against Empoli tonight.
