In a long interview given to the Serie A League’s YouTube channel, Inter winger Denzel Dumfries also spoke about his relationship with Theo Hernández.
Here are his words:
“Obviously, we don’t like each other much on the pitch. I can’t say we’re friends off the field because that would be a lie. But we have mutual respect: in matches, we fight for our own colours. We also clashed at the Euros, but that’s part of the game.”
Dumfries added:
“Off the pitch, we have no problems at all, but on it, we only think about winning. There are many clashes, but that’s natural in football. I definitely can’t say we like each other, that’s for sure (laughs).”
