MN: Walker to be sideline for one month due to…see more

Kyle Walker is expected to be ruled out of Milan’s upcoming Serie A match against Torino, and could also miss the rearranged fixture against Bologna midweek, which leaves Sergio Conceicao with a minor injury problem at right-back.

Walker has not been involved in Milan training over the last two days. He played the full 90 minutes in the disastrous Champions League exit against Feyenoord midweek, but reports in the following days suggest that he played while dealing with a minor muscular issue.

According to Friday’s reports, the England international has not gone in for medical tests, as Milan do not expect his injury to be serious, but he could still miss out on the next two Serie A matches.

This leaves Conceicao with a slight shortage at right-back, as Emerson Royal is also out with a more long-term issue. Davide Calabria was sent to Bologna during the January transfer window, while Alessandro Florenzi has not featured at all in 2024-25.

That means that Alex Jimenez is in line to start at right-back against Torino. Calciomercato.com suggest that Davide Bartesaghi, Yunus Musah or Fikayo Tomori are the alternative options.

There is a possibility that both Jimenez and Bartesaghi start against Torino at the weekend, as there have been suggestions that Theo Hernandez could be dropped from the starting XI after his costly red card against Feyenoord in the Champions League. It remains to be seen whether this will be the case, though.

The other option would be for Theo Hernandez to carry on as usual at left-back with Jimenez coming in for Walker in a straight swap at right-back.
