AC Milan has expressed interest in appointing Antonio Conte as the club’s head coach this summer, according to journalist Luca Bianchin from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
As reported, discussions about the Napoli coach’s candidacy have begun within the club. Italian media, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, have suggested that the Rossoneri may part ways with Sergio Conceição at the end of the season if the team fails to secure a top-four finish in Serie A.
– Conte’s name has been circulating again over the past two days. It is being discussed, but nothing concrete has emerged yet. Last summer, Milan passed on Antonio, even though he expressed his interest. In the current situation, both sides have mutual needs, – Bianchin stated.
It is worth noting that Antonio Conte is currently in charge of Napoli, who sit second in Serie A, having accumulated 56 points from 26 matches. The 55-year-old coach’s current contract runs until 2027.
