Gbs: Milan and Fiorentina could discuss swap deal…see more

AC Milan could be set for more negotiations with Fiorentina ahead of the summer, and the possibility of a swap deal is being floated.

As a reminder, Milan and Fiorentina have completed two operations in the past few months. Firstly, Yacine Adli joined La Viola on a loan deal with an option to buy during the summer transfer window, then in the winter mercato Riccardo Sottil went the other way via the same formula.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanPress), there is the idea that a permanent exchange deal could well be discussed involving Sottil and Adli. Both players have buy-out options at around €11m, which means that the valuations are not too far off.

It is therefore possible that the two will remain at their current clubs beyond the summer window, with the Diavolo and Fiorentina expected to sit down and talk about the futures of the winger and the midfielder.

Sottil was in some ways the surprise signing of the winter window in the sense that he had not been linked by any media outlet until deadline day. Then, things moved quickly and he arrived to ultimately replace Noah Okafor, who headed to Napoli on loan with an option to buy.
