AC Milan are seemingly going to rebuild again this summer, and a new sporting director will be entrusted with this. Today, a report states that Giorgio Furlani is set to meet some candidates.
Things, as always, are a little hectic with Milan, and with a huge summer on the horizon, there is little room for error. The club need a massive restructuring, and the now-untrue words from Sergio Conceicao have only further added to the pot.
At present, it is quite difficult to actually define the roles of the management, given all members co-exist in each other’s departments, which makes things rather confusing. So, the club need a better structure.
Seemingly, the task of doing this fell on the shoulders of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, Furlani reportedly is in control of the process, and he is not messing around.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a decision will be made in the next few weeks, and meetings will be taking place in the ‘next 15 days’, so things may move rather quickly. Igli Tare and Fabio Paratici are the leading candidates, however, two new names have also entered the mix.
Markus Krösche, from Eintracht Frankfurt, formerly of RB Leipzig, is a name of interest, considering the work he has done with the club in recent years – being highlighted with a Europa League win. Then, Thiago Scuro is another option from AS Monaco, in two years, he has rebuilt the French team, finding gems in the process.
