Sky Sport: Micah Parsons’ brother just put the Cowboys on blast…see more

The Dallas Cowboys know they’ll have to pay Micah Parsons big money soon. The problem? They’re taking their sweet time getting it done.

Contract talks have been ongoing, and while there’s no real reason to believe the Cowboys are thinking about trading their star edge rusher, the longer this drags out, the more speculation grows. After all, Myles Garrett just secured a $40 million-per-year deal, and Maxx Crosby landed a massive extension, too. Parsons, widely regarded as one of the best defensive players in the league, is still waiting for his payday.

While Cowboys fans have been vocal about their frustration, someone much closer to Parsons just turned up the heat: his brother, Terrence.

In a now-viral social media post, Terrence didn’t hold back. He blasted the Cowboys for dragging their feet on a deal, writing:

Not exactly the kind of PR the Cowboys front office was hoping for.

This isn’t the first time Terrence Parsons has gone after the Cowboys. Earlier this year, he called out team owner Jerry Jones for being “cheap,” adding fuel to the fire that Dallas isn’t willing to invest in its biggest stars the way other franchises do.

Micah, for his part, quickly stepped in to clarify that his brother doesn’t speak for him. He took to social media to say, “Any comments made by Terrence Parsons Jr. are his & his alone. As you know, if I have something to say, I’m not afraid to say it. I love my team, my brothers on my team, and the city of Dallas.”

That may be true, but it’s hard to ignore the pressure now mounting on the Cowboys to lock Parsons down sooner rather than later.

Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones insists that getting Parsons’ extension done is a top priority. But with Garrett and Crosby resetting the market, it’s clear this deal won’t come cheap. If Parsons is willing to take less than $40 million per year, as he hinted at before, Dallas should be jumping at the opportunity.

If they don’t? Well, let’s just say this might not be the last time Terrence Parsons has something to say about it.
