Breaking news: Paratici’s chances increasing for AC Milan’s sporting director role

In the Rossoneri camp, the issue of appointing a new sporting director to Milan’s management structure remains a hot topic. However, compared to a few weeks ago, there is now less urgency in making the decision.

The Rossoneri club management cannot and does not want to make a mistake in this crucial choice, which is too important for the immediate future of the club. Therefore, the process will be conducted carefully, with a new selection process led by Milan’s CEO, Giorgio Furlani.

In recent days, Igli Tare, the former Lazio sporting director, seemed to be the frontrunner, but his chances have now significantly dropped. On the other hand, the stock of Fabio Paratici—formerly of Juventus and Tottenham, is on the rise. Paratici is currently inactive following a 30-month ban imposed by the FIGC’s Federal Court of Appeal in January 2023 as part of the capital gains case involving Juventus. However, in the coming weeks, new candidates may emerge, both Italian—such as Atalanta’s D’Amico and Bologna’s Sartori, who have recently been linked to Milan—and foreign, with recent reports mentioning Markus Krösche of Eintracht Frankfurt and Thiago Scuro, Monaco’s general director.
