Breaking news: Pellegatti explains why Paratici is right for Milan and names three head coach candidates

Carlo Pellegatti believes that Fabio Paratici stands out as a sporting director candidate for AC Milan, while there are three head coaches on the list.

Milan are approaching a critical period, one where decisions will be made that should in theory shape the direction of the club for multiple years to come, such as the addition of new members to the management and a possible new coach.

Rumours are becoming more and more insistent about a possible return of Massimiliano Allegri, this time supported by Fabio Paratici. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two – after their shared successes at Juventus – could reunite at Milan to try create a new winning era.

Pellegatti published his weekly column for MilanNews and in it he offered the latest news (and his opinion) regarding Milan’s pursuit of two very key figures.

Definition of ‘Excellent Professional Standing’: excellent way of communicating and interacting with others, high reputation, strong skills, results and successes.

“It seems to be the portrait of Fabio Paratici, one of the candidates for the role of future DS of Milan. Like that of Andrea Berta who, however, as a great professional, wanted to keep his word to Arsenal.

This is the theme of this phase of the season, a fundamental theme for the future fortunes of Milan.

“It seemed that it was a quick decision, already in the first days of March, especially after the meeting of Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, on Friday 28 February in London, with Andrea Berta, Fabio Paratici and Igli Tare.

“It’s news. After Giorgio Furlani’s trip to New York and the meeting with Cardinale, however, the examination of the candidates suffered a sudden slowdown. Everything could be postponed to the end of March or even further on, to April or even May.

“It would be, in any case, too late because March is the month of the first contacts, the first surveys, the decisions also on the bench. Without ever forgetting the words of Arrigo Sacchi: ‘The players must be chosen by the coach based on his technical-tactical needs.

It is difficult to say whether this wait was born from the emergence of new candidates or because the CEO of Milan simply wants to carefully weigh the choice of a key figure for the future fortunes of the Rossoneri.

“A figure that has been missing in the last two years, and the results have been clear to see.

Returning to Fabio Paratici, it seems that his knowledge, his experience, his professionalism, his international stature, put him in clear relief compared to other possible candidates.

Good at managing the relationships between the Club and the players, with a constant and charismatic presence in the training center. Used to resolving the thorniest negotiations. His presence at the headquarters would also be important for Giorgio Furlani, for a daily comparison with a figure of profound experience.

“It will be the new sporting directors who chooses, with the approval of the fourth floor of ‘Casa Milan’, the new coach. Today, the three most authoritative candidates seem to me: Antonio Conte, but watch out for Juventus, Roberto De Zerbi and Massimiliano Allegri.

“I don’t think we’re still looking abroad to decide who will be the technical guide of Milan 2025-2026. Of course, the hunger and desire for revenge of the Paratici and Allegri duo would transmit a great contagious energy to players and fans.

It’s important to understand what the relationship between the two is, but the desire of both to return to being protagonists soon could smooth out many POSSIBLE past differences.

“In the meantime, with the hope that the team can grow, taking advantage of the very painful week off, and manage to find a balance and defensive solidity, more difficult than the search for the Holy Grail!”
