Christian Pulisic has been brilliant since joining Milan, but there has always been one downfall to the American – he has no alternative. For the Rossoneri, it has often been the American or no one, and whilst attempts have been made to give him rest, there has been no one to fill the void.
This has been picked up on by Mauricio Pochettino, and despite the statement being made at the start of this season, there has rarely been any notice of it. However, that is largely a forced decision.
So, it is possible there will be some movement in the mercato involving Pulisic. Considering the Rossoneri have tied him down to a longer deal, the idea is to build around him, but perhaps the first step to this could be adding a proper deputy.
Here is where the interest in Dejan Kulusevski steps in, capable of playing across the front line, the Swede was a target in the summer for Milan, and now, there is a temptation to revisit the idea, as Calciomercato.com reports.
Should Fabio Paratici arrive, the chances of an attempt may be increased, given the winger has ‘followed’ the sporting director previously to London. However, whether the club would be willing to stump up €50 million for an option is certainly debatable.
