Five Warriors scored in double figures, with Jonathan Kuminga scoring a team-high 15 points.
For the first time since being traded on Feb. 6 to the Warriors, Jimmy Butler III made his return to Miami. Butler recorded 11 points and six rebounds in the game, including a nine-point third quarter.
Gui Santos entered the game with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter and instantly made an impact. Santos scored eight points in less than 90 seconds, knocking down two 3-pointers and finishing a lay-up on a Quinten Post behind-the-back pass.
Santos finished the game with 13 points on 5-for-8 shooting, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range.
Trailing by as many as 20 points in the third frame, the Warriors clawed their way back to cut the lead to eight points with under a minute left in the quarter thanks to a 10-0 run.
Jimmy Butler III and Brandin Podziemski led Golden State in the quarter, scoring 18 of the team’s 30 points.
The Warriors came into the game averaging the second most bench points in the NBA (44.3 PPG), and continued to get bench contributions on Tuesday. The Warriors bench outscored the Heat’s bench 48-24 in the game, with Jonathan Kuminga (15 points), Gui Santos (13 points) and Buddy Hield (10 points) all scoring in double figures.
