The Los Angeles Lakers lost their second straight game on Monday night. After losing to the Chicago Bulls by a final score of 146-115 in the first game of their Eastern Conference road trip, they fell to the Orlando Magic 118-106.
LeBron James is back on the court, but that has not translated to a win in the two games since his return. There is clear frustration starting to rise for the Lakers.
Thankfully, there is plenty of time to get back to playing at a high level before the playoffs. Los Angeles has 11 games left to play in the regular season.
Doncic spoke out after the loss to the Magic and revealed one reason for the team’s struggles of late.
As shared by Lakers Nation, Doncic believes the team got “satisfied” by their previous winning ways.
“Luka Doncic feels the Lakers got ‘satisfied’ and they can’t afford that right now,” the post read. “He wants them to get back to playing the physical defense they were playing during their eight-game winning streak.
Following the loss to Orlando, Austin Reaves was caught with a facial expression and demeanor that showed frustration.
There were quite a few comments on the post that showed his expression after the most recent loss.
“i know he not frustrated this mf the main one getting scored on,” one comment read.
Another comment thinks the Lakers need to make a lineup change, saying “he honestly should lead the second unit. i don’t think the luka lebron reaves at the same time will work.
He should be they played zero defense! This team is the most talented team in the West. They gave this one away,” one fan wrote.
Los Angeles will have a chance to get back to winning on Wednesday night when they take on the Pacers in Indiana.
