Kyle Walker completed a loan move to AC Milan during the January transfer window. That was the best move for him and for Manchester City based on Walker’s performances this season for Pep Guardiola’s side. Heading into the summer transfer window it appears to be a formality that Walker will complete a permanent move to the Serie A giants in the summer. That will bring the curtain down on a successful spell at Manchester City for Kyle Walker. Walker’s standing at the club is secure based on his role in Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side during his time at the club.

Daniele Longo has reported for Calciomercatoweb that AC Milan has the option to sign Kyle Walker for €5 million this summer. Furthermore, Longo reports that AC Milan is eager to complete the signing of Walker. Longo also reports that Walker is happy playing in Italy and would like to remain at AC Milan beyond this season.

It appears to be a formality that Kyle Walker will complete a permanent move to AC Milan this summer. The loan move was the best move for him and Manchester City. It has allowed Walker to play regularly in Serie A and it has also allowed Manchester City to move on from the England international. For now, Manchester City haven’t found a replacement for Kyle Walker. That is a task that will need to be completed by Manchester City this summer.

If and when Kyle Walker completes a permanent move to AC Milan he will depart Manchester City as a hero of the club. He was a key player in City’s era of dominance and although this season was disappointing for Walker that’s how he will forever be remembered at Manchester City.

A morale-boosting weekend win over the United States at the CONCACAF Nations League has turned into a nightmare for Canada.

The first hit came from Bayern Munich, which announced Wednesday that Canada captain Alphonso Davies had torn his anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Americans in the third-place game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Then Davies’ agent piled on, accusing Canada of pressuring the 24-year-old from Edmonton to start against the U.S. despite not being 100 per cent.

Davies exited the game in the 12th minute favouring his knee after seeming to fall awkwardly while challenging for the ball in the Canadian penalty box.

Davies was scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday.

The injury comes some 15 months before the start of the 2026 World Cup, which Canada is co-hosting. If all goes well, he should be back in time to lead the 31st-ranked Canadian men — but months of hard work wait him in the interim.

“Alphonso was not 100 per cent after the Mexico game (last Thursday) and it was planned that he was not going to start against the U.S.A.,” agent Nick Huoseh said in a statement provided to OneSoccer. “On Saturday night the expectation was he would not be in the (starting) 11. As a captain, I feel he was pressured to start the game by the coach. Alphonso is not the kind of guy to say no in those moments. He ended up playing and look what happened.
