Sergio Conceição, the head coach of AC Milan, spoke at the press conference ahead of his team’s anticipated match against Napoli in the Italian league, emphasizing the importance of the encounter and the team’s goals for the upcoming phase, while also sharing his thoughts on the opponent and the readiness of his players.
Conceição said: “We know that Napoli is a strong team that reflects the personality of their coach Antonio Conte. They have many players capable of making a difference, but we know how to put them in a bind and create problems for them.”
Regarding facing Conte for the first time as coaches, he said: “I faced him as a player when I was at Lazio, and this will be our first time as coaches. The match is very important for us, and we have worked hard to prepare for it.”
On the return of players from international duty, he confirmed: “It would have been better to have all the players with us during the break, but we used the time to work differently with the players who stayed.”
Regarding the team’s administrative situation, he clarified: “We are in constant communication with the management, and unfortunately, Ibrahimović cannot play.”
He added: “Our goal is clear: to qualify for the Champions League and win the Coppa Italia. We believe in our ability to achieve that, and the atmosphere within the team is positive.”
On his future with Milan, he stated: “I don’t need reassurances or guarantees; I know that my future is linked to results, and that is what I am currently focusing on.”
Regarding the team’s readiness and rotation, he answered: “All players are in good condition, and we have a medical and technical team that helps the players in case of any physical issues.”
On Kyle Walker, he said: “He has adapted well to the team, but like everyone else, he has to prove his worth to play, not just because he is 35 years old or has played with Manchester City.”
