Report—Favorito del portiere spagnolo a partire nel match di Coppa Italia tra AC Milan e Inter

Josep Martinez is reportedly the favorite to start tomorrow’s clash between AC Milan and Inter ahead of Yann Sommer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, that’s the last dilemma on Simone Inzaghi’s mind.

Inter will take the field without Denzel Dumfries, Piotr Zielinski, and Lautaro Martinez.

All three players are out with injuries.

Meanwhile, Sommer had been on the sidelines until recently after undergoing thumb surgery.

However, he has been stupendous since returning to full fitness.

Indeed, his stunning saves helped Inter beat Udinese 2-1 last weekend.

Despite Sommer’s heroics, Martinez could start between the sticks tomorrow.

Though he has been the Swiss veteran’s deputy for most of the season, the ex-Genoa man has done well when called upon.

Indeed, he was in goal when Inter beat Lazio in the previous Coppa Italia round.

Therefore, Inzaghi is considering bringing him back to the starting XI tomorrow.

It would allow Sommer to take some rest amid a brutal fixture schedule.
