Sport news: Milan-Fiorentina a special game for Sottil and Adli the common fate both face

Calciomercato.com begin a report by speaking about Yacine Adli, a player who seemed to have found the ideal place to showcase and develop his talent, at a club like Fiorentina and with a head coach such as Raffaele Palladino.

He even scored against his parent club Milan in the reverse fixture and that seemed to have been the spark towards a leap in quality. Indeed until January, Adli was a fixed point of the Fiorentina, but from February onwards – also due to an injury – things have changed.

He had 19 appearances in the league from September 2024 to January 2025 (12 as a starter) with three goals, four assists and more generally excellent overall performances. From February onwards, Adli with Fiorentina has collected only 14 minutes in two appearances.

At present, Fiorentina are not willing to exercise their €10m option to buy. Therefore, it is up to the former Bordeaux man to convince the Viola management with a leading role in the end of the season. It’s an unlikely scenario, considering that the January signing Nicolò Fagioli has stolen his place.

Milan-Fiorentina will also be a special game for Riccardo Sottil. In the winter he fulfilled his dream of moving to the team he supports – Milan – in a loan with €10.5m option to buy deal. Just like his friend Adli, the winger has very little chance of remaining at his current club.
