MN: Allegri confirms agreement with Milan…see more

Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed to people in his close surroundings that he will be the head coach of AC Milan next season, according to a report.

In addition to a new sporting director, Milan are also looking for a new head coach and it’s believed that the sporting director will have a big say on that front. However, according to Fabio Ravezzani and Telelombardia, the decision might already have been made.

As per Ravezzani, Allegri has confirmed to people who are close to him that he has an agreement with Milan. The leak is described as ‘very reliable’ by the journalist, though without giving any more details on the matter.

Allegri has indeed been linked with the Milan job and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him back at the club. However, it felt more likely and realistic when Fabio Paratici was still in the frame for the sporting director position.

Now, it looks like Igli Tare and Tony D’Amico are the favourites, and they might not match perfectly with Allegri. Seeing as Milan actually haven’t decided their new sporting director yet, an agreement with a head coach already seems a bit far-fetched.

It’s possible that talks are advanced but as has been stated before, Allegri has a lot of contacts in the media and could easily push his agenda.
