It is fair to say that Joao Felix is not having a good time during his loan spell away from Chelsea at AC Milan.
The Portugal international got off to an electric start to life at the San Siro, with Milan preparing at the time to do what they could to bring him in permanently.
Things have taken a drastic turn for Felix now though, with the attacker coming in for huge criticism from the media for his performances.
Felix has been described as a ‘ghost’ in times he has played, with the Serie A side now changing their mind on signing him permanently.
He will be returning to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with it then being Chelsea’s decision on whether to reintergrate him into the squad or try and find a new home for him.
Until then, he will remain at Milan to try and prove to his future side what he can still do, however is struggling to do so as his side have experimented with their side.
Before their clash on Friday night against Udinese, they were three games without a win in Serie A, although this changed with the 4-0 hammering of their opponents.
Manager Sergio Conceicao trialled a back three system, and has clearly found a solution that gets the best out of the likes of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic.
Felix has fallen victim though. The Portugal international was an unused sub in the dominant victory away from home.
With the Blues set to bring in Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian at the end of this season, competition is going to be rife in the attacking areas at Chelsea next season.
This makes a return to action at Stamford Bridge unlikely, and given the fact that he has already played for a number of top teams, finding a new home could prove tough.
Fabrizio Romano mentioned three possible destinations for Felix, with one of those being Galatasaray after Victor Osimhen’s loan comes to an end.
Felix is reportedly keen on a move to Turkey, however given the demands the Blues will have to part ways with him the deal feels unlikely.
