Breaking news: Thomas Partey breaks silence amid Arsenal injury worry for Real Madrid as four-word message sent

Thomas Partey shared a heartfelt message on social media following his goal against Brentford and potential injury concern ahead of Arsenal’s second-leg Champions League quarter-final bout with Real Madrid.

Although Mikel Arteta’s squad could only pick up a point against the Bees at The Emirates, Partey’s goal was one to remember.

Declan Rice carried the ball from Arsenal’s box all the way to the other side of the field and laid it off for the Ghanaian to finish

However, eight minutes after Partey had scored, jubilation turned into distress when the 31-year-old was taken off by Arteta

The Gunners manager said that his midfielder had felt something but declined to provide further details.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, the Arsenal boss said: “He felt something so we didn’t want to take any risks.

This has left Arsenal fans in limbo as to whether Partey will be fit enough to face Madrid on Wednesday night.

The Gunners star broke his silence after Saturday’s Premier League fixture with a message shared to his Instagram.

Arsenal’s No.5 posted a photo of the team celebrating his goal together alongside the caption: “UNITED UNTIL THE END.

Partey was spotted speaking with reporters post-match on Saturday evening. The common practice for players who have experienced bad injuries or require further significant treatment is to not engage with interviewers after the game.

After Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Brentford, Arteta’s focus will now purely lie in the Champions League.

The Gunners now turn their attention to Europe’s elite competition and travel to Madrid with a commanding 3-0 lead, aiming to finish the job at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
