Deciding the next head coach is proving to be a difficult task, and until a sporting director is appointed, no decisions will be made on the touchline.
Picking a head coach is a difficult task to get right, after all, the chosen candidate must align with your club’s identity, as well as being able to work with the current pool of talent. This season, Milan have struggled to find that.
Paulo Fonseca was a poor hire, and he left before Christmas, whilst Sergio Conceicao is seemingly destined to share the same fate, barring a minor miracle. So the focus for many is shifting to a new head coach.
Several names are linked to the post, and there have been several debates about who would be ‘right’ to lead the club’s new project forward, but until a new sporting director is found, the conversations are rather null.
Nevertheless, Luigi Sala, a former Rossonero, spoke to Tuttosport about the situation, and Milan News have relayed his comments.
“Who would I bet on as the future coach of Milan? I really like Italiano. He’s young, but he’s already achieved great results in all the teams he’s coached, proving to have brilliant ideas. I’d take him.”
