USMNT star Christian Pulisic is embracing “good competition” when it comes to a battle with Rafael Leao for assist king bragging rights at AC Milan.
The United States international added another to his tally when teeing up Strahinja Pavlovic in the Rossoneri’s 4-0 win over Udinese. Portuguese forward Leao grabbed a goal and an assist in that contest – taking him to double figures in both of those departments.
Pulisic has been more prolific in front of goal this season, with 15 efforts to his name in all competitions, and also has 10 assists. There is all to play for between the American and Leao as they bid to become Milan’s most productive creative cog.
Pulisic is not overly concerned with who scores the goals for Milan, or who carves open those opportunities, but has told DAZN when asked about his duel with Leao: “We have a good competition between the two of us. He’s fantastic when he plays like that.”
Milan need Pulisic and Leao to deliver on a regular basis through to the end of the season. The Rossoneri remain outside of the European qualification places in Serie A with just six games left to take in.
