Sport news: Milan ‘will try’ to retain Abraham in the summer new discussions to start

Tammy Abraham’s future is quite unclear currently, with AC Milan still deciding whether to make a move next season. However, the first steps are being made, it seems.

The Englishman’s season has been difficult to assess, with the loanee struggling at times with injury and poor performances. However, when at his best, the striker has looked to be a big player for Milan, and this is needed within the club.

If nothing else, the former Chelsea man provides a different option to Santiago Gimenez. Additionally, he is seemingly getting over the worst of his injury history and proving to be an important cog in Sergio Conceicao’s team.

Most decisions will not be made until a new sporting director arrives, so a final verdict needs to be made on the deal. However, that does not stop initial discussions from beginning, and Gazzetta dello Sport write that things are beginning to be worked out.

The Englishman is only at the club on a ‘dry-loan’, so there are no clauses that would be activated on note of the Diavolo’s interest, so new negotiations must be started when the time is right. Considering Abraham wants to remain in Milan, it may be an aid.
