Gbs: Milan on ‘high-alert’ after Tah announces…see more

Jonathan Tah announced that he will be a free agent at the end of the season this morning, and AC Milan are watching the situation with eagerness.

In the summer, Milan are set to make a number of changes, on and off the pitch. Nevertheless, you would imagine that opportunities that arise before the arrival of a new sporting director would still be considered, as the club have mainly focused on opportunistic mercato movements recently.

So, with Tah announcing that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen for free at the end of his contract this summer, it seems the Rossoneri have been put on ‘high alert’, as Calciomercato write (via Football Italia).

Reports have suggested the club have been watching the situation previously, and with defensive changes already expected, a signing like Tah would be significant, in terms of actual quality and statement.

However, a move will not be easy to complete, given there is significant interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the German. Closer to home though, Inter and Juventus have also taken note of the situation, though a move to Milano is more probable than Turin it seems.

Considering Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw could depart, the Diavolo may tempt the Leverkusen defender with the idea of being the start of a new defensive unit.
