The Miami Heat should never be ruled out whenever the NBA Playoffs come around. Time and time again, Coach Erik Spoelstra has proven that his squads are postseason risers that are just as good as anyone. After getting demolished 121-100 by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team has something up its sleeve. What’s in store for Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and the rest of the squad?
Game 1 of this NBA Playoffs series between the Cavs and Heat saw the team from South Beach get demolished. Kenny Atkinson proved why he had the team with the most depth in the association, and Coach Erik Spoelstra’s squad crumbled.
Things might start to get closer in the second game of this clash because Spoelstra may have figured something out, via Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald.“Overall activity, overall purpose, and intent with what we’re doing defensively. It’s not the first time we’ve had to deal with that. When we’re disruptive, we can handle that better knowing that their guards are very good,” the Heat head honcho said.
The Heat have not won against the Cavs since December 8, 2024. Back then, they still had Jimmy Butler leading the way alongside Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. Now, Miami needs to find another spark plug for them to stay alive in the NBA Playoffs.
There’s so much that the Heat need to figure out if they want to push this series in their favor. A change in defensive schemes could be the first step to achieving that goal.
