Tuttosport (via MilanPress) recall what happened back in September, when Paulo Fonseca was still the head coach. His relationship with the team in general had never taken off, and there was one incident in particular that showed it.
With Leao having just scored to make it 2-1, there was a break due to the excessive heat to take on fluids. The whole team had approached the bench to listen to the coach’s words but Theo and Leao remained on the sidelines, talking to each other on the other side of the pitch.
Naturally, a scandal broke out that went viral, despite attempts from those involved to play things down. Now, the ‘Theao’ duo are returning to the Olimpico for the first time since that incident, and they will do so to try and lift a trophy: the Coppa Italia.
The two want revenge after what happened a few months ago, and they want to lift their third trophy since joining the club. They were both instrumental in the first two (Scudetto 2022 and Supercoppa 2024), and they want to be again.
