LeBron James is a polarizing figure, and he is the recipient of plenty of criticism, especially from a certain group of people that is always looking for excuses to speak ill of him.
He has been accused of, among other things, passive-aggressively throwing his teammates under the bus and looking to get them traded when things aren’t going well and blaming others when his team doesn’t win the NBA championship.
However, plenty of his current and former teammates have said complementary things about James. One of them is Quinn Cook, a guard who played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2019-20 season when they won it all.
During an appearance on the podcast of former All-Star Victor Oladipo, Cook seemed to vouch for James as a teammate.
Cook last played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season. He has spent the last few seasons playing in multiple leagues overseas, but he said he still keeps in touch with James.
The 40-year-old has a player option for next season, which would be his 23rd in the NBA, and he was non-committal about his future after the Lakers were knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves. But many do seem to expect him to be back with the Purple and Gold when training camp starts this fall.
