Gbs: Milan enquire about Lecce star…see more

AC Milan are one of two Serie A clubs to enquire about signing Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic, according to one journalist.

There are currently some big questions marks about Milan’s centre-forward department ahead of 2024-25. Firstly, Luka Jovic – who has been the started in recent weeks – has an expiring contract and is believed to want a multi-year deal in order to stay, rather than just a one-year extension.

Then, Tammy Abraham is on a season-long loan from AS Roma and while it seems he wishes to remain beyond the end of the current season, the situation is quite complex due to the parallel negotiation for Alexis Saelemaekers.

A new striker on Milan’s radar

According to Orazio Accomando of DAZN, Milan and Fiorentina have both asked Lecce about Krstovic in view of the window reopening. The eventual asking price of the forward will inevitably depend on whether the Salento-based club will remain in Serie A or not.

The Montenegrin international – who scored a brace against the Rossoneri in a league meeting earlier this season – has scored 11 times in Serie A this season. If Lecce were to drop into Serie B he is likely to look for pastures new, and the valuation would drop as a result.
