Tijjani Reijnders prepares to start for Milan in the Coppa Italia Final this evening, but he is at the centre of a bidding war between Manchester City and Real Madrid, which starts at €70m.
The Coppa Italia Final against Bologna kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome tonight at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT, 21.00 CET).
Reijnders is in the headlines for entirely different reasons, as there are multiple reports of huge offers on the horizon from some of Europe’s biggest spenders.
Manchester City have expressed interest for some months now and are ready to push forward with a formal offer, as sources including The Athletic, Telegraph Sport and Calciomercato.com all claim they are confident of signing the Dutch international.
The asking price would be no less than €70m, although that could escalate rapidly after Radio Marca reported today that Real Madrid are also making Reijnders one of their marquee targets this summer.
The player only recently signed a new contract with Milan to June 2030, but their failure to qualify for the Champions League could make a sale more likely.
He impressed the Bernabeu crowd by scoring there when Milan beat Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
