Reason Theo wants to leave ‘now’…see more

As time has progressed, it has seemed more and more likely that Theo Hernandez would leave AC Milan this summer. Now, it seems inevitable.

The situation with Theo probably stretches back a year now, and things have not been right ever since that interview. During the European Championship, the Frenchman stated his future was not decided, despite it being cleared just days prior by the club.

Since then, it has been a rollercoaster, a dropping one at that, with the defender becoming more and more likely to leave Milan. Though, there has been a slight rise in the past month, with suggestions that he could renew.

This is no longer the case, though.

Earlier this week it was reported that he was available, with the club looking to raise funds, and now Pietro Mazzara (via @MCL_LAT on X) has stated that the Frenchman wants to leave the club ‘now’.

There are several reasons why this could be. However, the two stated are rather clear, and probably even understandable. The first is due to the Rossoneri’s actions – they have not spoken to his agent in ‘months’. Then, he remains frustrated over the decision to accept Como’s bid in January.

Considering he offered himself to Madrid on Thursday, it certainly is not a surprise that his chapter is going to close this summer. However, it feels self inflicted from the Diavolo, even if the Frenchman has not been up to the required standard.
