With the defeat at the Olimpico and the disastrous results of this season, Milan can finish no higher than seventh in the standings and, as a result, will not qualify for any European competition next season.
Goals were scored by Mancini in the 3rd minute, Joao Felix in the 39th, Paredes in the 58th, and Cristante in the 87th.
Roma came out with real fury. The Giallorossi took the lead after just 3 minutes thanks to a header from Mancini, who outjumped Tomori and perfectly nodded in Soule’s cross—Soule had first earned and then delivered the corner kick from the flag on Maignan’s left. Starting with the French goalkeeper, Maignan received a rating set at 5 while defenders Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia, and Strahinja Pavlovic earned ratings set at 4, 5.5 and 5 respectively.
As for Alex Jimeenz, he earned himself a decent 6.5 for his effort on the pitch while teammates Tijjani Reijnders, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Yunus Musah only received ratings set at 5.5, 6, and 5.5.
American forward Christian Pulisic earned 6.5, while Santiago Gimenez, who had a red card in the first half, had the lowest rating: 3. As for Joao Felix, his rating is set at 7 with Rafael Leao and Youssouf Fofana earning 5, and 6 respectively.
